It's a CartaFRECCIA Senior. I filled out the application form on paper (which is required by non-residents), sent it to cfreccia.application@trenitalia.it and received an 'electronic' version of the card two weeks later.
I shamelessly took advantage of the respective french and italian cards as soon as I turned 60. Unfortunally, in Germany I have to wait til 65. We aren't considered to be seniors at 60 ... (For the Trenitalia card I had to jump through some hoops and it doesn't give many benefits but I insisted!)

That's the point. There is no ballast, no other random cell bits. It creates only the relevant bit, so the antibodies created are entirely focused on the correct target.
Why would it be odd? The trick is not just to feed some triggers to the body and hoping that the defence system will activate somehow. It's really more like 'hacking' the cell system and tell it exactly what to do. Plenty more control levers, targeted, efficient.

I recently travelled on the much-praised Caledonian Sleeper. However the experience was bad, due to insufficient ventilation in the compartment as the train must have sat in the sun before. This will be even more of an issue when the bed is right under the roof. Adjustable ventilation is important.
