No, I don’t buy that. McCain, HW Bush, Romney and the rest had all made their peace with racism and the politics of personal destruction long before Trump arrived. McCain and Romney voted with the rest of them in lockstep. Obamacare was Romney’s plan! In a better world, he would have wanted credit!

But I think you have to also acknowledge that the 2600 was obsolete by 1981, and due to limited RAM, the games it was capable of supporting were really fairly bad. Even the ones people remember fondly. (I played a lot of them back then.) Competitors and computers got much closer to arcade quality.
