The thing I liked about FB, and that AoS sorely lacks, is the fingerprints of creator fixation. Just glancing at FB you can see the creators were real history nerds, and as we all know, the best fantasy worlds are just excuses to nerd out about one niche topic.

Honestly, a Total War game where every H.G. Welles book was a real, historical event would be great. Captain Nemo's mariners, a local gun-club builds the first orbital launch station and shoots a bullet into the moon. Chrononauts bringing Eloi and Morlocks into the modern day...
I remember there being a Total War set during the Meiji Era and the fall of the Shogunate. But that's kind of it. :c

Not so much a GM habit as a mechanic. But I can't stand it when one's moral or mental stability is gamified. Things like "Sanity" aren't something you can staple to a chart or a dice roll. They're highly personalized responses to trauma and stress and should be roleplayed, not rolled .

The ability to make a custom hero was one of my favorite things about this game. I'd kill to see that in something like TWWH (For EVERY faction, not just chaos.) Or for RTS in general.
