Each day I am astounded and mortified by this country’s descent into open and brazen racism I am equally astounded and mortified that rather than push back on the malign forces taking us to these dark places - an elected Labour government appears more interested in trying to learn from them
It's beyond me why the PM doesn't want to put out this simple message. It's not hard. Hold a reception for prominent non-white British sportspeople, actors, etc to point out the kinds of well known and well liked people this kind of ugly nationalism is attacking. It's really not rocket science. 5/5

I understand (though I do not accept) the government's case for remaining on X. What is totally indefensible is the *exclusive* presence of many MPs & departments on that site. They are handing a monopoly of key government communications to a site that's increasingly run by & for the radical right
So, yes, the sustainability of it as an ongoing concern is important to us civilians, but more users is not a particular concern or desire in itself beyond that consideration. Whereas not having my days’ scrolling spoiled by the interjections of racists, fascists and cunts really is valuable.

My main issue with the debate around ECHR is that no one advocating for it seems willing to accept that the past decade of politics has shown us that withdrawing from organisations/treaties/institutions always has more unintended consequences than intended, usually negative.
