Even if it was true (it’s not!), the Supreme Court has found that the Prez can do just about nothing in the process of upholding their responsibilities. That should end this conversation now.
Isn’t this just what’s happening in Turkey right now? Arresting mayors who could be competition? It’s chilling.
The media has failed us over and over
It just seems like such bad strategy. I will keep donating. But to turn off someone like me who is very much a supporter says a lot.
Is there anyway to get these Dems to stop texting? I plan to donate but the harassment is a real turn off. Opting out doesn’t work - that # may stop sending texts, but then another one doesn’t. This harassment is really poor strategy.

Good for the students! Columbia (along with my Alma mater) has been a big disappointment. Universities should be places for speech & protest.
Soros’ Foundation has done brilliant work in many areas. One I’ve gotten to see firsthand is helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities move out of institutions and have a life in community in many European countries (and other places).
Big disappointment. I don’t watch many of their hosts anymore. Won’t watch this show on principle now - sort of like giving up Morning Joe (which I honestly don’t miss) and WaPo (cancelled my subscription after billionaire editorial control) which I also don’t miss (except for Robinson & Petri.

I’m a white boomer. I’ve voted for, donated to, and worked for candidates running against MAGA folks for last 10 years. Still at it, not giving up. Devastated and very sorry as to where we’re at right now.

I’ve been meaning to cancel my subscription for awhile - due specifically to Bezos interference. I like Alexandra Petrie and Eugene Robinson so have hung on. Today is cancellation day. Totally disgusted at his infringement on free speech of readers.

Thank you for this. The blaming is so counter productive. It’s important to learn what went wrong, what we can do better…..which can be done without blame. More important in the moment to cone together and deal with the situation.
It’s also driving our massive cultural and socials divide. Literally tearing the fabric of our country to pieces.

I like threads. Don’t use Facebook (found it toxic for years now). I’ll probably be leaving Threads after this decision though.
Run non profits. Most gifts/donations haven’t provided long term sustainability for us. What they have done supporters to successfully work for people with disabilities for 30 years.
She’s a musician and singer….how is singing not in her lane? Should writers only write one genre? Actors only appear in the same kind of movie? Artists create - in whatever genre they are inspired to create in.
Totally agree. The texts are most annoying to me. I would’ve donated no matter what because I thought it was important, but the texts and emails really turned me off. Felt like harassment.

As a woman I’m totally comfortable with trans women being in a restroom I’m in. In fact, I come across unisex restrooms all the time, which is also fine with me.
We’re all voters….they should respect all of us.

What a disappointment. They will normalize…they are. This kind of capitulation will be our final u doing….people will be complacent & comfortable and just go along.

They could talk about it every second of every day….if the media doesn’t amplify the message it won’t break through.
