The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible. But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.

The amount of world history education the most students receive in the US is sadly 'really' low. Pretty much Rome, Columbus, and then anything involving the US. Obviously, YMMV, especially for students who take advanced placement classes in high school, or at college level, but it's pretty poor.

My mother in law is eccentric but a nice person. I'd like to think my mom would have made a great mother in law to my wife but she passed away when I was a teenager, long before I met my wife.

My wife and I already have plans for our Québec and Montréal trip late this spring. Canada and it's people are amazing. It's a tragedy how the current US regime is treating those who should be our greatest friends and allies.

Was a sold out prerelease at my local last night (October Country in New Paltz, NY). Great night (for Mardu players especially).
I think tons of people should do that. Especially if they have nice seats on a flight that I'm in so they can upgrade people when the flights leave without them.

They used to sell a Black Pepper and Lime chip in the US but they unfortunately stopped a long while back. They still sell it in Canada though so I can still get a couple bags when I got to Montreal each summer at least.
We were coed in fencing both at New Paltz (club sport, not varsity, but we did compete against other clubs) and New York City high schools when I was there. It's such a stupid argument from these people, desperate to blame "others" for the ongoing disasters.

The first thing I did when Hue came out with their motion sensor was set one in my hallway. When my wife or I go into the hallway after 10PM, it turns on the hallway and bathroom lights in a low orange light (no blue). Definitely helps, considering my insomnia.

I wonder how much protests are easier for the media to ignore here because of how spread out the US is. The US is too big for everyone to congregate in a single location, but if there was an organized movement to protest on one date in the biggest cities (NYC, LA, DC, Boston, etc.) would it change?

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen? We are already in the shutdown. And your votes DON'T stop it. In fact, they allow it to expand.
At a security conference and a panelist said they do phishing simulations two to three times PER DAY. That's bananas and has to be so counter productive.
