The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible. But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.

The amount of world history education the most students receive in the US is sadly 'really' low. Pretty much Rome, Columbus, and then anything involving the US. Obviously, YMMV, especially for students who take advanced placement classes in high school, or at college level, but it's pretty poor.

I think the average person at least is so numb to receiving data breach notifications. That, and at least in the US we're falling into a fascist dictatorship that is building concentration camps, so it's hard to stay worried about security.

The first thing I did when Hue came out with their motion sensor was set one in my hallway. When my wife or I go into the hallway after 10PM, it turns on the hallway and bathroom lights in a low orange light (no blue). Definitely helps, considering my insomnia.

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen? We are already in the shutdown. And your votes DON'T stop it. In fact, they allow it to expand.
