I find the default results in Topaz often overdo it for my tastes, and I have to dial the sliders back quite a bit to get things the way I like. YMMV
Yeah I can do that. I shot some bunnies (with my canon!) this morning that I'll be editing later.
Yes? I do all my cropping, lighting and color corrections in LRC, then shoot it over to topaz if I need to denoise or "fix" the focus. Primarily because the TIF that topaz shoots back doesn't interact with LRC exactly the same way the original RAW file does.
I just paid for it. Right now I'm using it as a plugin near the end of my edit workflow
I caved and bought topaz also. I'm still determining where my tolerance is for its AI results, but it does impressive work.
I've been shooting more animals than landscapes lately, resulting in getting home and opening up the shots I'm excited to edit and finding that I missed the focus by a smidge about half the time. It's making me nuts

I know jack about the profitability of the different sections of MS but given the massive cost that brought in Activision it doesn't shock me that they continue to look for ways to save money, and labor is everyone's number one "controllable expense". That said, it sucks and folks deserve better.
