Well, I really enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of that genre and picked that book up in some random store in Sydney many years ago. Really well researched. I was put onto a few gems from it, like "The Damned", and the Japanese "Virus" (which made a lot more sense when I got the unedited long version).
Weirdly, in Australia it was Nico: Above The Law. Not sure if that merged title was used elsewhere. PS - are you same Kim Newman who wrote the book Apocalypse Movies? Because I still have that in my bookshelf after quite a few years!

I remember when that episode first aired and I just about choked on my coffee - I absolutely loved the idea of these little kids not only knowing The Cure, and knowing Disintegration, but yelling that out. Chef's kiss. Just imagining them listening to Prayers For Rain on a Saturday afternoon :-)
Hearing the music AI guys (for example) talking about having their AI output complete tracks for people as "removing the gatekeepers" (read: not having to learn how to write/play/produce/record/mix etc) is so demoralising if you believe the actual *making of the thing* is 99% of the artistic joy...

The episode early on in the series where PIckles gets apocalyptically drunk before going on a talk show had me literally unable to stop laughing for a loooooong time. Just the incoherence of the voice acting in that bit was so funny to me. In fact I may have to go watch it now.

Australian 90s show called 'Frontline' which was a satire of current affairs TV was so accurate that some networks thought they had spies in their offices. For anyone in the music industry: 'This Is Spinal Tap'. For a certain type of band/period it's just 100% accurate, like incredibly so...

He seemed like a really nice dude. You can tell by the way people behave around the crew and he was being friendly and happy with them. He was the only one I saw, I think some other ones were around but to be honest, I'm not unused to famous folks so it didn't really perk my interest to looie-loo.
Interestingly some of it was shot opposite my old house in Newtown, Sydney. Nearly ran into Keegan-Michael Key literally while going out for groceries (he was being walked into the property opposite; very narrow street). Often used for filming as it has a nice textured large upstairs area for that.
Found a copy of the first feature screenplay I ever wrote, dated 1996 (!). Reading a few pages, I was struck by how unbelievably terrible, derivative, pretentious, unfunny, & awful it is. However, it DID follow Syd Field's screenplay structure so I'm going to sell it to a streamer for approx $3m.

I wish my late dad had made it through for this to become therapeutic treatment. He had deep brain stimulation, which helped, but in the end, early onset Parkinson's killed him after after a long battle and a fall. Anything that may help others in the future is wonderful.
