I've had glasses for 54 years. I've never had an extreme prescription. I've only had progressives for a year. I've always had my PD measured. I BROUGHT HER IN IN PERSON SO THEY COULD DO IT BECAUSE IT MATTERS. Her eyes are very wide-set. Not happy.
Their own website says "Having an accurate PD measurement is the key to getting your lenses to line up with your pupils and provide the best possible results from your eyewear." Now they're saying they made her glasses without it but it shouldn't matter? @warbyparker.bsky.social
My kid leaves for college on Friday and still no glasses, although they're to be delivered today. Only they just emailed me telling me it doesn't matter that they didn't have her pupillary distance. They had it. They . . . lost it?
Took my kid to Warby Parker on August 10th, where she picked out frames in person and had her pupillary distance measured, which the staff person entered into the order. Eye doctor sent them the prescription on the 11th. And on the 12th. And I uploaded the prescription on the 13th, again.

We are in the "I'm scared but won't say it" phase of college packing, so things have ground to a halt. Honestly, this is the only time I wish I weren't a single parent. Getting a stuck kid moving is not my favorite activity.

Huh? She has one subsidized student loan, which will not accrue interest until she graduates (or leaves) and a lot of grants; I pay the balance out of my paycheck. I have an interest-free credit card but the the college assesses a fee to use it. So next semester I will try to avoid it.
