I really want to make appliances since it's been ages, I am rusty. But it's much harder to start and get motivated then actually doing it π I also want some decor, lighting and seating as well so still much to do
i think i already have that earmarked as a colour, it's more denim blue then a cyan. I need to go back and have a look tho
I love a soft green (as seen in Grange Mudroom). Seems to be in these days, but it's such a great colour so no wonder why it's so popular

That's really strange. So strange in-fact, i don't think i have seen that happen before.... Almost like there is a mesh ontop of it. Maybe if it has geostates that could be contributing. If you downloaded it a while ago, i would definitely redownload
The oldest pic I could find of Ryan was 2013/14 and he has gone through more revisions then I can count (he is also brunette now so people stop asking if I am actually blond π π€£). He was also a modelling contestant at one point and that helped me learn PS editing #ts4 #thesims4 #showusyoursims

it's a paid app on android called Infinite Painter. The patterns and leaves from the art piece are all drawn on it. I just transferred the images to my PC so I could add them to Photoshop. I think I paid less the AUD$20 for it
Sorry, but no. I see this like one of my own completed sets. You may see a similar style theme, but no addons. I designed it to be as complete as I could given the parameters I was working with
yep, that's why I wanted cabinets and consoles, so they can work for regular entryways

One of the hardest parts to make too because I had to be very conscious of the polycount. But I love using coat racks so it was a must for me
I have only seen them a few times from style research. Could just be retrofitting in older homes that need storage and the back door is the laundry room. People love extra storage in homes these days

I love the idea of storing all those bulky winter/wet weather gear somewhere else besides the bedroom. Also having a comfortable place to take off or put on shoes is very appealing to me since I do it a few times a day because of exercise
Not sure what the origin of the inspiration is, but my guess is mainly the US. Styling wise it's an amalgamation so hopefully it fits a few different styles, but it's predominantly modern farmhouse. I would assume people in Australia have them, they are gaining popularity like butler pantries
I would say that a mudroom is a type of entryway, but not all entryways are mudrooms. I am not sure of the origins but I would assume the US, and in areas with snow/heavy rain over winter where taking that sort of clothing inside would get messy. So it's a transitional space to keep the house clean
Definitely why i wanted it modular so just using the consoles or benchseat would be more usable as a regular entryway where people can take off shoes (or put them on while sitting)
I would almost say it's a third 'side entrance' for working homes but a lot of designers have made them far more desirable. If it's all closed cabinetry it tends to look quite neat so it's why some people have them at the main entrance too. But yeah, traditionally would be out back
It is definitely a regional thing. Much like in Japan or Korea they have a little landing area by the door where they take off their shoes and put on slippers, other places may not have the same thing. Here in Australia we take shoes off both inside and outside with no dedicated space π

Mudrooms are basically spaces to store wet weather gear and take off any soiled boots/clothing before getting into the main house. Traditionally they are at the back door but people use them at the front door a lot too these days

The main goal of this theme was deliver a kit for an area of the home that doesn't have many items designs specifically for it. Mudrooms are becoming more popular these days but definitely not the norm. But I fell these pieces can be used elsewhere too so I am looking forward to how people use them
I also tried my hand at sketching out ideas. I usually mock up right in blender when an idea strikes, but with this project a visual representation was important. It's definitely a little crude and was quite far from the final product, but conveys the idea well
I really fell in love with the light sagey green so that became the signature colour for the set. It just feels so calming and inviting at the same time. If people know my content, they know I usually have one of these types of greens included.
With my kit launching tomorrow, I thought I would give a little insight into conceptualisation for Grange Mudroom. Life most creators, I trawl Pinterest for ideas and found quite a few. But I wanted it to feel a bit more traditional to suit a farmhouse or cottage, and ran with that #TS4 #Ad

1 I read it as an initialism rather then an acronym but this one falls into a grey area (unlike ABC of FBI, it makes a decent sounding word like NASA or GIF). Not sure why, maybe because it's not a name or title but a description or shortened sentence? IDK π€
it really is a great alternative to using coffee. I am also tempted to do a manderin one since I have a locally made liquer and they are in season right now
i made limoncello tiramisu. Such a great, refreshing alternative. Though I made it in winter, we still devoured it π

yes, but those were objects. This is a great option for those that are running on low spec machines, or find it a hassle placing all those individual windows. I also like I can use these on roofing walls without the need to worry about roof angle

Most my my burnout this year has been because I was utterly run off my feet. Usually sims is a great outlet for relaxing but it just hasn't been working as well since I didn't have time. But as they say, better to step away then force it, and you come back refreshed.

Yeah, that was a design choice I had to make based on wall thickness and how cutouts work. This definitely gets around those limitations. Mirrored windows might be difficult because of how they function. It might not be compatible with walls since it has a separate mesh group, texture and shader.
With and Without CC: My vaulted ranch set vs window walls It's a pretty good alternative to CC options but does have some downsides such as only being able to have full height 'windows.' I hope in the future we can remove and paint individual sections of the roofing walls for more flexibility #TS4
definitely needed a backend change for these particular walls, so it's great to have the functionality in place now.
