These are all fairly average prices for sets of these sizes (around 100 pieces for 10 dollars), no brand mark up like we get with some other themes.

The first issue (he’ll, the first page) of the run goes a long way in characterizing who Reed is.
There is a quote in Eisner/Miller (forget who said it), “there are no bad characters, just bad writers”. Plenty of comic book superhero characters I didn’t care about until I found the run that made me fall in love with them. Rucka’s Wonder Woman, Brubaker’s Captain America. And Hickman’s FF.
There is a lot of wild stuff in FF history to work off of. Reed and Sue have two kids. Their daughter Valarie was named by Dr Doom and is her godfather. The two of them have a surprising relationship. She calls him “Uncle Doom”. Read Jonathan Hickman’s run, it is an all-timer.
I love all the Absolute books, but AWW is profoundly special in a way that is so rare.

I like Red Son, but I don't think it's something you recommend to someone wanting an introduction to Superman. You don't want someone new coming away with the wrong ideas from it. I also LOVE All Star, but wouldn't recommend as an intro. You're gonna want some S experience under your belt first.

When you have one single piece, you can keep it as is. When you have multiple prints joined/glued/connected/etc, in most cases you don’t want to leave it like that with visible seems. Now you need to prime and paint the print to make it appear a single object instead of a jigsaw.
