My 9-year-old nephew just started regular school, I think my sister was doing a good job but even in the best cases eventually it gets to a point where you're doing more harm than good, keeping your kid isolated and taught by someone who may or may not know or care what they're doing to teach

I liked The Force Awakens, loved The Last Jedi, and hated The Rise of Skywalker. Two out of three ain't bad but it horribly failed as a trilogy.

Nice - I haven't played Expedition 33 yet (but it's very much on my list). I'd rather have something like that (which can be remedied by a quick check of a guide) than huge difficulty spikes for no reason
Yeah that's what I did too. Then I looked at the recommended level to do it and just finished the main story and turned off the game. Really made the buildup unsatisfying by not being able to finish it without grinding.
I just beat FF7 Rebirth and that's how I felt - I got almost everything before beating it but fully 100%ing it would have taken specific grinding that wouldn't have been fun at all. And now I'm not going back to, like, beat the superbosses that you need to be 20 levels higher than the story boss.

He is a wizard, thank you. But yeah, it always goes nearly straight up and to the left (his left), which is right at the hole. If I didn't know better, I would think he did it intentionally, but that's where he aims in normal (covered) boxes too (also very loud).
My cat pees vertically, he didn't mind using the litter robot but he managed to hit the waste hole that's on the top, causing unfortunate leaks (and nearly a fire). Luckily he's fine with covered boxes.

I like it as a game, but when it came out a lot of people were hoping for something closer to Ocarina of Time or Wind Waker, but to me it didn't live up to either
I'd give that to Twilight Princess, maybe Skyward Sword. I wasn't let down by TotK because I knew almost exactly what I would get going in: Breath of the Wild 2, for all the good and bad the entailed. It was never going to beat the original, but it was still pretty good IMO.

Season 2 feels specifically like Star Wars being Star Wars, building up THE Rebellion against THE Empire. It's still good, but I also like the Star Wars setting.
Season 1 feels so good at least partially because of how broad the story is - a small-time criminal gets radicalized against the tyrannical, fascist government. It's Star Wars, but it mostly doesn't have to be, it could be set in so many different ways and still tell mostly the same story.
And like they even did an episode where he did that with Voyager, he recreated the whole ship on the holodeck to be friends with them! This creep named his cat Neelix!

They literally designed a machine to string together words in a way that is familiar and that people will like to see and these maroons think it's the second coming
I enjoyed it - in addition to keeping him out of the action, it shows how fragmented and untrained (and, to Paul's point, stupid) so much of the Rebellion is at this point
One of the weaknesses of both BotW and TotK is that they let you play in whatever order you wanted, so they couldn't really give you a strong narrative. BotW worked because it was a mostly empty world that you were exploring and the story was secondary, TotK never really seemed like it *did* work.
The only thing I remember building that I think was better than what the game gives you was an air bike (based entirely on online instructions) and that was just because the Depths were so tedious to explore otherwise. "Don't you want a car?" No you gave me a horse and I still prefer to just climb.
The important parts of the story happened in the past after Zelda time traveled (and we barely saw that), Link was just picking up the pieces
