Jon Bernthal and Charlie Cox are two actors who I am comfortable saying were PERFECTLY cast. Not only are their portrayals of the Punisher and Daredevil iconic, they have good energy in every scene they share.

2/2...Emperor hasn't issued them new orders countering the Terminus Decree. But most likely, in most scenarios and without plot armour, the Grey Knights would make a noble attempt and fail. The fallout of which would likely initiate a new civil war.

Honestly? Yes. At the end of it all, Custodes are better combatants and have numerical and tactical advantage over the Grey Knights. The Grey Knights best course of action would be to reveal the Terminus Decree to the Custodes and hope they follow orders or that the newly reborn/freed/ascended...1/2

10/10 In his hubris, he assumed the "father" thing was superficial and that his creations were going to be like the Custodes, ready and willing to serve and asking for nothing. And the Custodes missed this too. But, anyways, the main thing is that the Primarchs were necessary.

6/10 So he created 20 Primarchs and matching Legions. Now, we all know the plan went sideways, but the concept was sound. The Primarchs and their Legions were effectively a post-human "relatable step" between normal baseline humanity and the Custodes and Emperor. They were the face of things.

5/10...functional ones. Mordians. Kriegers. Which is, in part, why the Emperor made Primarchs and Space Marines. The Thunder Warriors were a huge success, but too unstable to take into space. Their bodies were prone to sudden, fatal mutation and no one needs to deal with that in warp transit.

Something that's been cropping up in #WH40k lore lately is the disdain felt by the Custodes towards the Primarchs and Space Marines made from them. And what I find interesting is that, intentionally or inadvertently, The writers are showing exactly why the Emperor made the Primarchs. 1/10

It is and it isn't. 200m would be HeliOx work using Saturation Diving, or ADS (hardsuit) diving. So it can be done, it's just expensive, risky, and requires highly specialized training to accomplish. For perspective, most conventional diving (sport & commercial) is between 6 and 50m in depth.

I think that something people tend to forget about the Emperor of Mankind in #WH40k is that he's neither omniscient or omnipotent. The deep christian imagery and vocabulary around his worship in the setting makes it an easy thing to forget, because the immediate comparison is to the christian...1/3

It's a consistent issue, and one of their world building fails with the whole "1000 space marines to a chapter" thing. There's a few chapters that only seem to operate at chapter level, but they're all assault types with the strategic planning level of "drop us here, then attack everything".

2/2... came with having people whose motto was the design equivalent of "Git gud, scrub!" putting stuff together for people who weren't clones to use. So, yeah. There was some peak design back in the day. And design conventions are (broadly) good for smooth experiences. But there was junk too.

I'm about 85% on side with this. There was some really great UI/UX design back in the day, but there was also a nasty amount of "designed by techs for techs who think like the techs designing the UI/UX" design, especially with professional software. And the equally cumbersome workflows that...1/2

Also, from a #TTRPG standpoint, the final shootout scene is almost beat for beat something you can pull off in #Cyberpunk or #Shadowrun. It's a great example of cover being used, characters acting their injuries, and the tension reloads bring to the whole operation.
