Jon Bernthal and Charlie Cox are two actors who I am comfortable saying were PERFECTLY cast. Not only are their portrayals of the Punisher and Daredevil iconic, they have good energy in every scene they share.

Both of them are top 10 comic book adaptation castings. Easily
💯
I wholeheartedly agree
Jon Bernthal is really cool, I want to see him in more things
The fight with the Russians was just bonkers.
Why did I read that as Charlie Day and why can't we have a Charlie Day Multiverse DD
I don't have answers. But maybe he'd finally uncover Pepe Silvia...
Now there's a whole season right there
At least as far as Jon Bernthal Punisher goes, I don't disagree, but I am a fan of the Thomas Jane Punisher, too.
Thomas Jane was robbed IMHO. He had amazing potential, but instead they mashed up everything in his movie. I loved his return in The Punisher: Dirty Laundry (Bootleg Universe).
Dirty Laundry was outstanding. The aesthetic in the Jane version was it's own thing. I loved it. Watched it many times. (Seen Jane as detective Miller?) Bernthal series is excellent, too. No complaints, wasn't what I expected at first, but got over that fast. Haven't seen daredevil series yet
Daredevil was always backburner for me in terms of comics, but Charlie Cox hits all the notes. Solid series.
Actually, building on that, the only "street level" (read: series not movie) miscast I can think of was Finn Jones as Iron Fist. Everyone else was pretty solid.
He was good in the one episode of Luke Cage he appeared on, where he wasn’t scowling. Still lots of issues with his casting but he could have been fun with better writing.
100%.
I think Finn Jones did an ok job being a very dorky Danny (which Danny has definitely been), but this show really suffered from being Arrow, but worse. Jones didn't have the same physicality as Amell, never mind the fact that a modern Iron Fist should probably have an Asian protagonist.
The "dorky" was fine, it was the absolute lack of energy and chemistry on screen, on top of his lack of physicality for the role. I appreciate he went to the effort of actually learning some Chinese martial arts for the role, but none of it showed.
It was reportedly rushed, if I recall. I just don't understand what the priorities were, because that should have been the most fight intensive of the Netflix series, and it just wasn't. I did like where they eventually went with Coleen, but it wasn't very elegantly framed in the series. Just a mess
100% They took Finn Jones when they had Lewis Tan right there. Coulda had a half chinese Iron Fist. Who could actually fight, instead we got that David Carradine ass fighting
Never had interest in punisher until Bernthal's portrayal. I could watch him in anything.
OMG, right?! They're exactly who those two characters should be with each other.
Yup. I was so angry when the Netflix DD was canceled. Super glad Marvel resurrected it.
I concur
