I live in WA state and was wondering why she took her young son or sons to Vancouver, BC to fly back to NZ rather than using the local Seattle airport?

Vancouver is non stop to Auckland or Sydney otherwise you have to go through LA or SF, or worse Hawaii. I know i'9d rather put kids on a non stop flight than anything with transit.
