I've sued exactly one landlord bc he wouldn't give me back my security deposit or provide a reason why it wasn't being returned within the required 3 weeks after my move out date. never had any issues with any landlords that required me to sue. I found out later on that the one i did sue was FREQUENTLY sued bc of failing to do the things he was supposed to by law but I didn't know that until much later on. My landlords since him have been fine.
