I wouldn't know what the movie has to offer as I haven't watched it yet. By all accounts it's a serviceable horror film. I can't shit on something I haven't seen.

I’m saying that he openly said he doesn’t want to adapt the game in a game adaptation. As a note: praising elements of a film that you haven’t seen isn’t better than deriding them. It’s still commenting on things you haven’t experienced.
