I wouldn't be at all surprised if that happened. Though #TheArchers producers & the BBC might want to be wary of the Turkish Tourist Board if they run with a disaster story about Health Tourism in Turkey!

I can imagine! But I also clearly remember, years ago, when I was about to go on hols to TRNC (basically Turkey) & had a tooth abcess, my dentist here not just treating it but giving me extra antibiotics to take with me, in case it flared up again out there. He was clear about avoiding TRNC dentists

I feel it’s wrong to mess with the body you are given. Don’t take unnecessary medication, let the body heal itself if possible, no unnecessary surgical interventions. But I’m not anti-vax, that’s mad IMO. #TheArchers

I don't disagree exactly, but the further you dig down into that argument, the more complicated it gets. What does 'unnecessary' actually mean? Is medication for an underactive thyroid necessary? Surgery for a cleft lip? A squint? Sticking out ears? It's thornier than it first appears. #TheArchers
