I have aphantasia. The first (and one of the very few) times I dreamed what most people would call a "normal dream" with visuals was after reading Crown of Swords and Path of Daggers for the first time. I'm a glacially slow reader but I read both books in under 72 hours. #WoTSkies
Lucky you! I too am aphantasic but I've not ever experienced visual dreams. I love to read but am very slow too. I wonder if it takes me a little extra time to process text passages that are meant to evoke imagery. I know that frequently I skip over such passages when they frustrate me.
I think it’s because RJs descriptions and me reading 8 books so quickly without any other media. The only other time I remember having visual dreams was when I had a really bad case of COVID and I had fever dreams about working with Wonder Woman at a book store 😆
