Hard to say. It’s one of the most blatant cases of wish fulfillment I’ve seen outside of current romantacy. Outside of that the pacing is wonky and the characters (especially the female characters) aren’t done justice. But there is 100+ pages where an immortal sex fairy is obsessed with him so…
Ok, I had to look it up because it was driving me a little crazy(I was bored at work), and it seems that while everything you say is quite accurate, the entire story is better viewed as a Greek tragedy, superhuman dude undone by his own flaws and dogged by the consequences of his actions.
Also, he's like a 16 year old teenager, so he's also just a dumb horny dude with too much power fucks up his life and the world. Sounds interesting actually, but I won't be reading it because apparently the author hasn't worked on the series since 2011 and there's only two out of three books?!

It was one of the first reddit reviews I happened across, it seemed uninterested in taking sides with either fans or critics because they felt both were completely missing the point. 🤷 Frankly I don't know why I dug into this, I'm not gonna read it 😅
It sounds like I hate the books but I really don’t 😂 It’s like when I read WOT and someone gets spanked for no reason. I still like the parts around that part 😂
