I need you to understand something, from the lived experience of a marginalized person: Gavin Newsom is an opportunist. He has precisely NO interest in doing anything differently than strengthening the systems of oppression that got us to this point in time in the first place.
He panders to the very people that are cheering on this fascist regime. His words are to cement a presidential campaign. And as a trans person, I can tell you that his version of 'We The People' does not include people like me, or the homeless, nor does it include equality for all.
I've worked in politics before. While he may have ideas that seem to match the radicalism going on right now, it also includes the same, tired playbook of lifting up the same rich, white people into power.
