The amount of comments I get from people telling me they 'don't like our videos' because I'm 'telling them not to like something.' Folks, enjoy what you enjoy, I give you my opinions, I don't hold a phaser to your head and tell you what to think. Patience is a little thin today. #StarTrek
Seems like these are the kind of people who turn to youtube to be told how to feel. I can't imagine thinking everything I don't agree with is a personal attack.

I mean Id be drunk in seconds if I took a sjot for every time you expressed the fact you know folks are going to disagree. I just look at your criticisms as your own insight and at times. It tends to align with the episodes when I watch but its more of an eye opener than a bias.
Weird, because I like your content because you seem very fair about your opinions. Side note, I get very annoyed when that one popular review channel posted their Star Trek videos because their takes were so freaking bad and suddenly a bunch of people magically mirrored their opinions.
I admit I’m biased because I’d rather enjoy Star Trek, but if you make the case that Picard and Data weren’t close friends I’m not sure how seriously I can take the rest of your reviews.

Absolutely! I honestly never have a problem with disagreements, and I enjoy respectful discussion. We try, I hope, to live that on the channel :)
Quite right. I appreciate a knowledgeable view on an episode- I don’t have to agree with everything to enjoy the commentary. Ps cetacean observations are great.

Thats honestly the long and short of it for some people! The BEST Star Trek episodes have the odd thing here and there, and some of the worst have a couple of ups. We're a review channel - we review 🙃 ah the lions share of people get it, its just the one or two, ya know yourself!

I don't know. Haven't they heard about the term "constructive criticism"? I mean (a) the recent TrekCulture videos WERE constructive critiques and it's not like a collection of Secret-Hideout-hate compressed into a video and (b) their critique of your critique is NOT productive. Be Better!

Star Trek is large and varied and things I like in Star Trek will be disliked by others and vice versa. WTH, Ups/Downs & the podcast are personal opinions by the hosts & guests which we don't have to fully agree with and often I don't. I still watch/listen as I find the discussions interesting.
Humans seem to enjoy being angry about things, rather than taking time to understand. Not every episode/movie is going to be a banger. But I enjoy them anyway. I like the ups & downs, because it makes think.

Yeah, unfortunately the idea that other people are allowed to have a different opinion (as well as one can criticise things one likes) somehow got lost somewhere along the way in the last few years. (Same on Tumblr. People complaining about how the SNW tags are no longer 'safe' for them, /1
