Prior to 2024 the EU nation with universal healthcare likely wouldn’t let you in, was probably more overtly racist & unwelcoming than the US, wasn’t going to just let you get a loan & start up a business & offered no path to citizenship even to your kids born there.

It's striking that in a lot of ways, Trump isn't inventing new anti-immigrant tactics, he's importing European anti-immigrant tactics. UK/EU immigration is fucking bleak.
