I grew up with that hymn! And that *is* weird. Is it all regulars or is it because new people visit regularly?
We have a mix of people who have attended here a long time, people new but regular within the last 2.5 years, and guests, and few are "every Sunday" attendees. So yesterday was a lot of long time people who had not been in a 2-4 weeks and fewer of our 2.5 people

Yes, we're a week and a half into public schools starting and 1 week into the university. For our families with school age children, attendance is sporadic and largely unrelated to anything I can discern. I heard recently people attend church on average 1.8 times a month, so I think it's that 1/
this is reflected in how people attend. So if we have 55-60 people at 10:30am on a given, it's made up of a percentage of the 80-100 people who attend, on average, 1.8 times per month. I will say, the ones who have come longer do tend to be MIA in the summer, and most of them were back yesterday
