Out of sincere curiosity, when do you remember it started sucking? I'm in my 40's and I remember it sucked since I was a kid. And I know it was different at some point. Don't wanna confront, I'm honestly curious

It wasn't bad in the 80s. Evenin the 90s it wasn't crazy. You could walk to the gate with ppl even if you weren't flying, way less restrictions on carryon contents, food was better, points actually counted for real trips, and there was more room in the seats. After 9/11 it especially got worse.
