Many people who use Christ's name are hypocrites, absolutely. But their actions don't affect what Christianity really is. I'm not saying they aren't Christians at all, but they represent themselves and their other influences more and Christianity less if they choose not to follow God's commandments-
- since the Bible (not using it to assert itself, but given that it's central to Christianity) mentions constantly false teachers and knowing people by their fruits.
I would like to hear a MUCH louder voice amongst the christians who really do follow god's teachings - calling out the people don't and hide behind the label. Presently, the people that hide behind the label are the loudest. And they certainly aren't spreading brotherly love.
