How dreadful. His story highlights more than any in our history how cruelly UK state treated queer people - even a hero who helped us defeat Hitler. A lot of my (well meaning and LGBT/inclusive) friends recommend her book and it always makes me cringe
Her analysis on things not accounting for women is fine. The problem is that she knee-jerks.
