I tried a new recipe of my own design and my wife could not stop eating it and she looked at me with so much love in her eyes and I looked at her absolutely euphoric from making my partner so happy, and in that moment, everything was alright in the world b/c I put blended bitter peppers in my chili.

Also, yes, I am subskeeting all the guys out there who don't cook. Come on. Cooking is easy and super fun. Nobody can stop you from messing around and experimenting. I once put chocolate on Brussel sprouts and it was HORRIBLE, but at least now I know that that doesn't work. Honey on peas does, tho.

Yeah! You don’t have to be an amazing chef; you just have to put decent food on the table sometimes. Learn some meals you can keep in rotation. There’s definitely a few frozen prepared foods in my freezer for mid-week crunches, but it’s easy to build skills with so many videos at your fingertips.

I believe everyone (with obvious exceptions like disabled folks or severely neuro-divergent people) should have at least one signature/showstopper dish that is truly theirs. Mine is lasagna. It'd probably give an Italian chef a heart attack if they saw how I make it but it's absolutely delicious.
