Who’s your favorite character in all of #StarTrek and why? The Doctor (Emergency Medical Hologram) has a bit of bias for me, with VOYAGER being my first TREK. Still, a fascinating character that basically grew from a program, and did the “what is being sentient mean?” arc better than Data.
That is a bold statement r.e. sentience and...I don't disagree. They had the advantage of building on TNG, but I think they did a fabulous job overall :) Plus, excited for new Doctor content next year!
I don’t hate Data, but he just doesn’t do anything for me… and he has an outsized impact on TNG-related stories. The recurring “what’s an emotion” beat dried out fast. EMH? He has emotions, and is just so over them (and everyone). REAL LIFE, my first episode, was a great intro to his struggles.
