I am old enough to remember the NG/police being used suppress mostly peaceful protests against Vietnam. Using soldiers like this dramatically erodes their morale. This is not what they signed up for. Chicago is not Falluja. We will just have to wait. I am more worried about protest turnout and Dems.

This is not new. Red families send twice as many children to the military. Militaries are typically right of the pop. Milley, McRaven, Austin etc are not liberals though. They are patriots. 20% of the army is black. The army is diverse, many join for education, many are patriots and some are racists
