More depressingly, many people NOT in government have ALSO reached the point where they’ve forgotten to be humane, thus enabling the inhumane people in the government.

True. I've been watching Ken Burn's documentary about WWII called The War. It was a direct consequence of following egotistical maniacs into inhumanity. I'm hearing some of the same rhetoric today and seeing some of the same tactics. It's worrisome 😪
