Based on the average age of conservative extremists, we can reasonably conclude with n > 20,000,000 that people do not make well-reasoned decisions even into their 40’s and 50’s. It’d be cool if they actually linked the study next time though so people could easily check for themselves.

Whenever I don’t know what to eat or don’t want to put a lot of effort into food I just do stir fry with the sauce that goes on beef & broccoli. It’s just as good on chicken and on vegetables besides broccoli too. And it’s cheap to make—costs like 170 ¥ to make the sauce for four servings.

Idk what you mean, I just think they’re worthwhile experiences. There’s plenty of faults there too but the highs are real high. I think choosing romance is great if the char you play is supposed to be you & is undefined w/out player insert, but that’s not the case for JRPGs usually.

Less commonly sensible is what it acknowledges about perfection—as an optimal, static state, any change to a perfect thing results in the loss of the trait, “perfection.” But many necessary things like movement or breathing are changes; by implication perfect beings could not move and don’t exist.

Very often, upon completing revenge, ppl don’t feel relief or closure, just emptiness because their obsession is over and there’s nothing to replace it with…and revenge didn’t bring back what was taken from them. Ppl often don’t recognize themselves any more after revenge & become what they hated.

Revenge is bad because ressentiment* is unhealthy. *philosophical term It’s sad to get so fixated on an injury that you stop living your life in order to injure the injurer, esp. given how long it takes on average. It’s weird to hurt ppl who hurt you as punishment b/c it fixes nothing.

Oh Lightning Returns…is definitely a game. My unsolicited thoughts: it has the best version of FFXIII’s battle system, the outfit mechanic is fun but very limited (there are obvious best dresses), and the game being on a Groundhog Day timer isn’t as bad as it sounds. Worst plot of the trilogy tho.

called beta oxidation. The fatty acids basically lose a set number of carbon atoms at a time per cycle of beta oxidation, and science literally knows the order atoms move around in to make this happen. If this lab butter’s fatty acids were somehow different from regular butter’s 5/x

Those chylomicrons (which also carry your fat soluble vitamins ADE & K) pass through the intestinal lumina to your blood supply. From there, as needed cells will uptake the lipids and use them for energy. In the case of fatty acids, they get burned in the mitochondria, in a process 4/x

To the best of my ability to remember: when you eat fats your pancreas makes Pancreatic Lipase, which removes fatty acids from triglycerides (glycerol+3 fatty acids), leaving mono & di glycerides (glycerol with 1-2 fatty acids still attached). These get incorporated into chylomicrons and then 3/x
