Oh, come on now, isn’t this the equivalent of IR35 special pleading - once you start setting up specific vehicles to maximise your efficiency you can’t just say “whoopsy, bad advice” if you tack across the line

I mean I've been chatting with a structural surveyor somewhat informally about stuff where they'd risk their professional reputation and stuff where they'd be reluctant to offer an opinion.

When I was selling my house there was an issue around the completion certificate for the loft conversion, and the Solicitor said "well, I wouldn't have been so worried about it, but then that loft fell of a house a couple of years ago"

And on the subject of high street conveyancers, ours did manage to fuck up their fees earlier this year and undercharge us. They asked for the, minor, correction before the sale was fully concluded so somewhat difficult to say no...
