U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy can end the war "immediately." He urged President Zelenskyy to agree to a deal with Russia (which essentially amounts to capitulation) in order to end the war in Ukraine.
Everyday in my feed I see Dead UA Civilians. Russia could freeze till another offensive but that won't stop the drones. More aid to ukraine won't stop this. UA can't kick Russia out themselves. And Euros aren't willing to bleed. This can save lives. It's up To UA to make up their own mind.

Let's be clear: this is everything Putin wants. He gets land he hasn't even captured yet, he gets sanctions lifted, he gets to rebuild and prepare for further war. Within 3-5 years, he will be probing in Latvia or Estonia and Europe will be at war again. This 'deal' would be a precursor to WW3.

That too, of course, but ..... Trump seemed to be ready for tighter sanctions before the Friday meeting with Putin. To me this looks like his opinion is most of the time the same with the person he has been talking last. Maybe Zelenskyi and specially European leaders are able to turn his head.

We have already seen extra tariffs for India which shows that there has also been other kind of drivers than just idolizing of Putin. Trump gave quite different statements for example on cease fire before he met Putin. Putin is a master of manipulating and it should not be underestimated.
