Let's be honest. You described American society at large. The $$ bottom line is more important to more people than is honor to country. Big reason we are in this mess.
What's ironic is the poor slobs who love him will never have money.
I respectfully disagree. There’s many who love our country more than money.
Certainly there are no absolutes. Why I said “more” rather than “all”. But there is a reason why “it’s the economy, stupid” resonates, cycle after cycle as the top driver of votes.
I’m 72, and Eisenhower is just at the fringes of my memory
50's here and can't recall a decent republican. I mean Nixon possibly, but only because he resigned.
Wasn't Arnold Schwarzenegger a Republican? Okay not a president, because he was born in Austria, but a governor of California.
Schwarzenegger made some poor decisions but also learned from them. I'd happily replace the current administration with Ahnold and his picks.
It's really hard to be mad at him tbh. Soft spot for Arnold.
Yes, but I believe even he admits he was a terrible governor.
I’m 64. Same.
They were once kind of noble and reached across the aisle pretty often.
When? 100 years ago?
No. I got to meet many Republicans who were fairly decent but still had a different philosophy than my own. They did not behave like the MAGUglicans we deal with now.
Fair. The magas are the neo nazis
