Because resources are finite and wounds from a primary linger. Every dime you spend fighting a Democrat is one you don’t have to fight the Republicans. Every attack you use to damage a Democrat helps the Republicans. Both parties have vote discipline when it matters. This vote it didn’t for Dems.

No it didn’t. 53 Republicans were voting for Israel. The result was clear. Nothing Democrats did was going to change the outcome. So let individual Democrats vote how they see fit. If you can’t tell the difference between a vote that matters and one that does, well that explains some stuff.
And regardless of who eventually wins the the primary they emerge with less money and more damaged because primaries don’t happen in a vacuum. This makes it easier for the Republican to win the general. Everything about this is self defeating. Reagan was smarter than the left, apparently.
