Ideological, it seems. There's maybe 30 Conservative voters per district in NYC, doubtful it's possible to poll them.

The Mamdani campaign, understandably, wants to have the broadest possible coalition to consolidate as much support as it can. The socialist left is a dominant player in Mamdani's coalition but has a slightly different goal. It wants Mamdani to win by crushing conservative political forces.
