If it's a "safe blue seat" then why not challenge the geriatric incumbents who won't fight for us? Why shouldn't the people of their districts get a fresh say in what their leadership looks like?

Replace the word “geriatric” with “woman” or “black” and see how it sounds - bigoted. Our representative are fighting for us. People in those districts should are able to decide for themselves if they want someone else, don’t need to be steered by some inexperienced guy outside of their community.

Wild that you'd invoke women and POC in your argument why a majority of CIS white men should hold their seats in perpetuity. More telling is the admission that if given an option, the people of their districts would automatically take the newcomer over the GOP lite we have now. Dropped your red hat?

Actually Democrats in Congress are almost half women and most groups of POC Democrats are representative of the general population. The reason the overall Congress is more white men is because of Republicans. I didn’t suggest that people would choose a newcomer; most people choose their incumbent.
