Yeah, I'm kind of laughing at the other comments here that are like "I didn't know I could transition until I was 12!" and I'm just sitting here like ... I didn't know until I was 40... (To be fair, there was a lot less information and a lot more misinformation in our childhood. AGP and all that.)

Yeah. I think this cost me a good 7 years, myself. I didn't have the clinical word for it, but I had such a narrow idea of what trans people were in my 20s that clearly I couldn't be it.
