I was on a grand jury once and the people there were even more cynical than me. It was glorious. The prosecutors brought us bullshit case after bullshit case and all those defendants went home. Eventually, they stopped giving us cases and made the other two juries stay late, but wow. We did good.
And Newsom is doing harm *right now*, it isn't some far-off worry - He segregated & persecuted a trans girl who wanted to play sports with her friends, advocated to ban trans kids from all sports while laughing with Nazis, says we shouldn't get healthcare til 26, & vetoed two trans rights bills.

The reason Kilmar Abrego Garcia was not eligible for asylum in 2019 was nothing to do with the merits of his case. It was because of the one year filing deadline, which requires a person to apply for asylum within one year of entering the US. It's now been less than a year since he entered the US!

Everyone I interacted with was super nice and helpful. Security was nice. The cashier was sure to call me June which required quite a bit of speed reading of my petition. The name change desk was extremely pleasant. So if you're scared about the whole process, it's not bad at all!

If you look at the New York City Civil Court building in Brooklyn, you will see a 1 block line waiting to get in. I waited in that line this morning. It moved super fast. I was in in about 10 minutes (~9:30AM, wanted to get there at 9; didn't).

If you do the smarthome thing, please buy a leak sensor for every sink. My kitchen sink's drain had a crack in it, and it gradually leaked for months. I had no idea there was a problem until the pipe broke more. So much mold. Will have to get new cabinets, etc.

E2 is toxic to the part of your testicles that produce T, so they stop producing it. The other parts of your body that produce T will still do so, though, so you don't get the negative side effects of *too low* T. It's nice! (But unfortunately, why E2 doesn't help PCOS sufferers.)

I like Reddit in general. I never got into Tumblr and it delayed my transition by about 20 years. Getting all the trans people off Reddit isn't going to help any of the eggs. There is r/estrogel, r/AskMtFHRT, etc. for medical advice. r/mtf is not that good a subreddit in general.
