Gross.
Gross.
My favorite is driving behind one of these and watching the driver swerve to avoid even the smallest bump or rut in the road thinking that their truck is as fragile as their egos.
I have a 1997 Ford truck. Mainly used for home project loads, carrying mtn bikes, off road vacation hikes. Low mileage, still runs great...NOT a luxury vehicle! Our mechanic said to "never get rid of it". How much you want to bet the pictured truck never goes down a dirt road?
Compensation toys.
💯
The bigger the truck the smaller the 🍆
Yup. Very gross

Trucks do not have to adhere to the same fuel milage standards as cars, this is why SUVs and pickups have been pushed hard by the industry. And it is gross.
Rural cosplay.
So many people have $1,000+ monthly payments on trucks it's mind boggling to me
Handyman me drives a Honda fit. I often go to houses with these 80k workhorse trucks in the driveway. What are these owners doing? Zoom meetings! They are work-from-home dads in slacks and polo shirts who sit at the kitchen table doing virtual meetings.
As a Brit I think American cars are so unwieldy, bulky, ugly and lacking any kind of style. They are so fricking basic. The reason they don't sell in Europe is not because of trade barriers but because they are so inferior to European cars. Sounds like I'm being harsh, but it's the absolute truth.
I live in the US (saying I'm an american these days is deeply humiliating and embarrassing)..... I agree 100%. These HUGE trucks are hideous and some of the drivers are complete asshats. Don't even get me started on the douchenozzles that drive the HIDEOUS cyberdumptrucks.
hubby works for a EU based car company. industry insiders call it “the compensator vehicle”
Yep
So gross
Too bad the drivers can’t see any kids, small people, people using wheelchairs or animals way down in front of that giant hood.
My 1998 F-150 with a stick and manual windows runs fine and cost $9k and has never been in a shop. I'm not sure why I'm sharing this.
Nothing about this says Quiet Luxury.
🎵"12 yards long, 3 yards wide, 65 tons of American pride!"🎵
Carbon-spewing piece of shit climate crisis gross.
Young men where I live are buying these super expensive trucks. They decorate them with flags and bumper stickers.. six months later, they are being repossessed because they can’t make the payments🙄
The poor man's way to feel above everyone else. Not saying many people don't drive them out of necessity, but I've also known several who've said they love being higher and above other vehicles.
And ugly.
The particularly grotesque expression of ‘merica. Never roped a dogie, never a bale of hay.
My dad used to call these “gentleman farmer” trucks. 😝
So Gross! The guys that drive Dodge Rams are so small 🍆 energy.
Emotional Support Vehicles
And they do nothing “truck”-like with them . Our basic Tundra has been towing our home on wheels all around the country for 6 yrs. And has seen more dirt and mud than the bougie ones ever will.🫤
From another angle, my son needs a truck for work (independent finish carpenter) and can't afford two vehicles, so he got a nice truck so he provide a nice, comfortable ride for his fiancée when they go out. Not gross.
Clearest and most obvious form of compensation to ever exist.
You will only see Lowenbrau cans rolling about the bed.
Bougie pickup trucks = Small Dick Energy
If you are the only person to occupy the vehicle 90% of the time and you aren’t getting 25 mpg or greater, you are simply throwing money away and ruining the environment.
