I’ve been told to not talk about these things around the family, and I get it, but my kids are similar age and I honestly don’t know if we’ll make it to their adulthood as united states. I bury a lot inside my soul each day so they can be children, and hope I’m just overreacting.
I get it. We try not to talk too much in front of our kids, but my oldest is 18 and is very aware what’s happening so conversations happen. My SIL is a naturalized citizen and that adds a whole other layer of worry. I bury a lot inside my soul too.
The safety of people in my family is very concerning to me but I’ll leave the details out of a public post. Suffice to say that they are next on the list after immigrants.
