I like to have a suite of small things from which I can pick. Exercise is one, yoga has been life changing. I bought a digital piano and play that a lot, a little guitar and drums too, but the piano has been a godsend. Books are good too. I try to practice meditation in small bits.

That's great! I've gone in and out of different phases, been in a good spot the past 5 years with yoga at the core of my fitness, and I feel great as a result. I hope you keep finding strength and happiness in your fitness!

No recovery tips for the sprain, but after a few years of daily yoga, I do advocate for improving range of motion and strength across all muscles. I’ve avoided a few injuries I can attribute to more holistic fitness than I’ve ever had.

I discovered this one in college. The view from my room looked down on the RPI field house, with the hospital chimney in the background, strongly evoking the album cover. Hit hard as the market crashed and I neared graduation.

If the UPS saga our family is dealing with re: tariffs on a modest purchase from Canada is any indication, all international shipping into the US is completely fucked, and it's likely that the de minimis change isn't the sole cause of the embargo. UPS must have lost $00's on our order already.

Depending on your insurance and access, you may be able to get it at a pharmacy. I took a booster in mid-2022, when it was only available for high risk, and all I had to do is say I was high risk on the pharmacy scheduling form. I figured, I had Omicron, so that changed my risk profile.

A recent investment into our family property needed Canadian produced components: we had to fight UPS on a claimed 50% tariff because our goods crossed customs before new rates took effect, and so ā€œonlyā€ paid 35% on the aluminum, a 15% tax on the total, which was around $3500 in materials.

Emma-Jean Thackray brings a gospel and groove sound to Save Me, my favorite track from her new album Weirdo, where she pulls from a diverse indie sound that plays well in any decade www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNvO...

Telling my co-workers, it's not you, this stink face is because Phish threw TF down this weekend and I can't stop listening to the shows

I used to think critically of each one, but these days I just try to take it all in. We are so incredibly lucky for everything this band brings to our lives. One show, many shows, or just listening to the recordings, we're all so fortunate.

It’s a lot of fun and comes with the pros and cons of a very small community and a mixed spectrum of ambitions. I hope your kid and your family have a good time!

Well now that I'm relistening with the volume turned to 11, I'm even more disappointed I missed this insane Mike's Song from SPAC N2. Holy hell, what Mike Gordon is doing right now is next level Phish.

31 years after my first show at SPAC and Phish throws down a show for the ages, and that’s saying a lot after the epic moments I witnessed over the years. What a band, what a night!

Whatever the fuck just happened, I loved it and I can’t wait until set 2. Best band ever.

I did not catch that but I’ll listen for it. That was my first show and my ear wasn’t trained yet.
