It may be too complicated- and therefore expensive. There's about 8m of copper pipe involved.

Nope - although when the builder gets here he will take most of it out and the end result will be better. In truth adding an irrigation system to a roof in Ireland is already over-engineering. A quick spray off the jet wash is all that is needed if it gets too dry.
