May I ask where and/or when you studied anthropology? I agree that human habitation of earth is “a mere flash in the universe.”
I didn't, but I had a general understanding that humans weren't around for millions of years and I checked reliable sources (e.g. - The Smithsonian). I rarely rely solely on my memory for facts, especially numbers, that are easily checked.
Early hominids have been found from millions of years ago and every year scientists continue to find evidence that pieces together early human history.
Yes, but not Homo sapiens. So this seems to be about the definition of "human beings" and whether that refers to only Homo sapiens or all hominids.
