Oh, okay, that clears things up. Yeah, I recall that despite the cutting down on the concluding season, she was a good sport and had a very positive outlook. She was even grateful to the fans for their support.

again, she's literally making a new show that's JUST about how evil Disney is.
Another animated property taking jabs at Disney isn't anything new and yeah she has every right to feel pissed over how Owl House was treated but I don't understand how that should affect this new film
I think the fact it's not new is my issue... well not that it's not new, but that every time it happens people seem to act like it's some bold new statement and not something that's happened for years. the same thing happened with Shrek.
That's my biggest concern, that people will just reduce Knights of Guinevere to either The Owl House 2.0 or Dana giving Disney the bird even though they still bothered to greenlight The Owl House to begin with and not let KOG stand on its own.
I mean people are already claiming this show exists to give a middle finger to Disney because of the lgbtq elements in owl house despite Dana flat out saying those elements had nothing to do with the show being cut short and this was even after she left so she has no reason to lie
because people like to hate Disney. I mean.. they're a billion dollar corporation that does shitty things. but that's not enough. people like to make up their own reasons to hate Disney beyond what the company actually does.
My thing with Hexed is less that I think it'll be bad, I'm hoping it's really good... it's more I'm concerned about backlash.
"Backlash"?
yeah from people.
About how Owl House was cut down in its conclusion (but still given an appropriate send-off)?
No I'm saying people online, already being inclined to get mad at anything Disney does, are gonna accuse Hexed of ripping off Owl House.
I've made no secret of my criticisms with the company.
Oh it's not a "people will" it's a "people are"
Thought so, unfortunately. Reminds me of how people were quick to reduce My Adventures of Superman's take on Lois Lane to just being a Luz clone and running that joke into the ground so hard that they reached the Earth's core.
She didn't even look that similar to Luz. Totally different animation studio and creative team.
I mean, the art director for TOH does work on MAWS, and they did acknowledge the similarities. But yeah, itβs gotten old.
Fair enough. I also recall that despite the cutting short on the conclusion (not to sound like a scratched record), she didn't have animosity towards anyone.
Uh... what show is that?
Knights of Guinevere
Oh, that. I just assumed it was being in a tongue-in-cheek type deal, in a way that Escape from Tomorrow tried and failed to. But from what I recall, Dana was a relatively good sport (if that phrasing is ideal) throughout it all.
