yes, and Jeffries style served him well during last admin; he did an excellent job keeping caucus together at that time. But, backroom deals don't help us now. The moment is asking for more from Dem leadership. At least Jeffries didn't stab the Dem caucus in the back like Schumer did Mar/Apr.
Schumer's reasons for that were explained a while back that I will have to find. I was against it, too, but after reading that post, I saw different.
I read his op ed and still disagreed with it. GOP would have done the opposite, were they the minority party. But, it's not just that issue that has me angry. Schumer is stuck in the past, and we have an authoritarian govt in power. He keeps acting like they'll just start playing fair at some point.
