Well Amnerica have last say when using their military technology. Same thing was with storm shadow last year that needed to wait americas approval. Its just sabotage all over again.

That’s why Ukraine and EU, together with the Coalition, have their own production now. And the Taurus is at the moment not the right (efficient) thing to use. They have other solutions now.

Yes. Needed to produce weapons that are independent of american parts. It seems Americas objective is to protect russia rather than support allies.

And Gripen, you could add. The aircraft may be Swedish but it has some key components from the USA, most notably the engine. Blocked for export to Ukraine.

i read somewhere that Gripen is planning to change their engine to french Rafales engine to avoid american control.

I have heard that rumour too. It would be really interesting if it worked out well, but it would be a really difficult change so until I hear anything from Saab I think it must be treated simply as a rumour.

Agree. Its probably just in planning stage and if they go ahead with it, it would probably take years to plan and develop and test for the new engine. Seems like a last resort to change the Gripen to fit this new engine. Probably it will stay as a rumor for now.
