When my dad was alive, he had extremely low platelets & would get bruises like this if he gently bumped into something. It’s definitely a medical condition.
I hate to rain on the parade of hopefulness, but he’s just hella old and thin skinned- literally and figuratively. My grandma’s hands were like that for years before she died. Every time she bumped her hand, it’d bruise like that for weeks.
