I don’t know how comforting this would be though. I think peeling back the onion is always fraught with problems. 3 instead of 14 seems horrifying, but why? There is so much more we as laypeople don’t understand.

I had a tour of the Anchorage airport tower years ago. It’s really astounding to have only 3 on duty at such a busy airport as this one. It’s reckless to operate that way. No blame directed toward the atc on duty. They were clearly doing their best.

I’m also not defending any of this, the first round of firing for the DEI reasons is origin of the big crack that is breaking this fragile system.
